COMPAK has been producing the HD12 and HD24 battery chargers since 1962. This is a machine that is built to last.

Compak battery chargers are wholly Australian made and assembled in our Brisbane factory using as much Australian content as possible.

COMPAK battery chargers are full wave rectified, giving twice the effective charge rate of that of similar half wave rectified chargers. Diode rectified using 4 x 25 amp rated silicon diodes, which have an unlimited life and are over 40% more efficient than the plate rectifiers used in other chargers. The diodes are set on extra large heat sinks to allow for continuous operation.

Battery charger features:

  • 6/12 & 12/24 volt
  • Heavy duty switches
  • Auto charge rate
  • Fuse protection
  • Diode rectification
  • Metal case
  • Easy to read ammeters
  • Full range of spares & service available
  • 12 month warranty

HD12

The HD12 charger has been designed to charge both 6 and 12 volt batteries. It has an automatically regulated charging rate, which decreases as the battery becomes charged.

The HD12 is fitted with a high quality moving iron ammeter, to accurately indicate the charging rate being applied to the battery. As the charge rate is automatically regulated, the ammeter also gives accurate visual indication of the battery condition.

The unit plugs into any 240 volt power point and costs about 2 cents an hour to run. For added safety the unit is fuse protected to prevent damage to either the battery or the charger.

HD24

Depending on the condition of the battery, the robust HD24 battery charger will charge 12 and 24 volt batteries to a maximum of 25 amp and 24 volt systems at 15 amp (the charge rate decreases automatically as the battery becomes charged.)

The full wave rectification system uses 4 x 25 amp silicon diodes, which are set on extra large heat dissipaters for continuous use. An extra large ammeter, heavy duty selector switch and resettable circuit breaker are all standard features.

The unit is fitted with two heavy duty double wound transformers, which are dipped in silicon varnish to ensure long life and absolute safety
