Klingspor’s triangular abrasive paper PS 33 CK is highly versatile

When fitted on a delta sander, the paper will even work on corners and edges with excellent results. The triangular abrasive paper PS 33 CK delivers particularly good results on the following materials:

  • varnish,
  • wood and paint, and
  • filler.

This versatility makes this abrasive paper equally ideal for do-it-yourselfers. One sheet of this paper can be used for almost all materials. This not only helps save cost but also minimises the effort required to change the sheet. Changing the sheet is a snap thanks to the hook and loop fastener of this abrasive paper.

This abrasive paper is composed of a paper backing (C-paper), which is covered in aluminium oxide grain with a semi-open coating. The grain is bonded to the paper backing (C-paper) by means of synthetic resin. The C-paper gives the abrasive paper the stability needed while keeping the paper flexible enough to contour snugly to the surface to be sanded. The semi-open coating means that 70 to 80 % of the paper backing are covered with abrasive grain. This coating leaves behind an adequate number of spaces between the grains to prevent clogging with dust and debris. Meanwhile, it also allows for a higher stock removal rate.

Aluminium oxide is as effective as it is durable

This synthetically made grain made of crystalline aluminium oxide is both hard and tough. Possessing an irregular wedge shape, this grain wears down by macro abrasion. The triangular abrasive paper PS 33 CK is made available in a variety of grit sizes. The different grits are identified by numbers. The greater the number, the higher the number of grains fixed to the abrasive disc. A greater number of abrasive grains results in a finer finish as the generated force is spread over multiple grain points. In turn, the force acting on each individual point is lower, leading to lower penetration into the material and, ultimately, a finer finish. The triangular abrasive paper PS 33 CK comes in a wide selection of grits ranging from very coarse to fine.
