MOQ

SUITED TO LONG, HEAVY FILLET AND BUTT WELDING

The Austarc 24 welding electrode is suited to long, heavy fillet and butt welding using the touch welding or ‘short arc’ technique and can be used on AC or DC power sources.

Its instant arc initiation, high arc stability, and low spatter combines in an excellent fillet weld contour, edge washing and slag release. The Austarc 24 is recommended for high quality down hand welding of heavy sections where high deposition rates are required.

Processes: Stick

Easy Slag Removal

The Austarc 24 stick electrode produces flat to slightly concave fillet welds with excellent ‘edge wash’ and slag detachability.

Smooth Running

The Austarc 24 welding electrode has smooth running, positive re strike and high current carrying capacity.

Typical Applications

Typical applications include tanks, structural frames, tractor, truck and trailer bodies, rolling stock, roof trusses etc.
